How do I install Textpattern?
1.
Open your browser and enter the url for the /textpattern/ directory. If you installed Textpattern at the root of your website, you would go to: http://[yourdomain.com]/textpattern/.

You should now see the first screen of the installation setup. Select your language and click the Go button.

Fill in the fields with information about your MySQL database, verify the site paths that it indicates, and click “next”. If you are unsure, consult your hosting company and/or their welcome email.

Highlight and copy (command + c on OS X, ctrl + c on Windows) the text displayed in the textarea.

Go to your /textpattern/ folder and find the file named config-dist.php. Rename that file to be called config.php. Then open it using a text editing program like notepad or text edit.

Paste the copied text from the previous step into the file. If any text exists in the file, remove it before pasting in the copied text.

Return to your browser and click the I did it button.
8.
Enter your information so that Textpattern can create your user and click the Next button.
9.
If Textpattern was able to successfully create your user, it will display the following screen. Click the link titled “main interface”.
10.
Enter the information you just entered, here and click the Login button.
11.
If all went correctly, go to the Textpattern directory on your server and delete the setup folder.
